One of the key components of building a sustainable organization is to work closely with suppliers, technology, and sales partners who share a common vision. As we’ve evolved over the last 25+ years, our standards for our suppliers and partners have also evolved.

American Apparel came on board with T.S. Designs in early 2004 and quickly became our main supplier of organic apparel producing over 150,000 units in our first year of working together.  American Apparel is the first U.S. manufacturing company we have worked with that has made a long-term financial commitment to stocking organic cotton yarn, the key ingredient in our product.

Burlington Chemical is TS Designs’ key partner and innovator in the development of the REHANCE technology. Burlington Chemical’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the myriad of environmental practices the company employs and in its R&D efforts to discover, develop, and market environmentally friendly chemicals and chemical processes. TS Designs and Burlington Chemical actively manage the advancement of REHANCE technology and the promotion of socially responsible manufacturing.

Mortex is an NC-based private label apparel manufacturer founded in 1985 by Edward Morrell. Prior to the start of Mortex, Ed was Director of Manufacturing for Champion. Growing every year since 1985, Mortex now employs 400+ people in plants located in Wendell, Spring Hope and Princeton, NC. Mortex controls every aspect of the manufacturing process and is able to offer full package programs to companies that desire high quality, individualized design and quick reaction to inventory needs and market fluctuations. NC GreenPower is an independent, non-profit organization that allows North Carolina residents to offset part or all of their electricity bill with renewable blocks of energy. Their goal is to supplement North Carolina’s current power supply with renewable energy. With their help TS Designs will use 100% renewable electricity as of fall of 2008.

Piedmont BioFuels is a coop in Pittsboro, NC. Piedmont brews and delivers the bio-diesel to the pumping station at TS Designs. The pump is open to all coop members. We welcome any members who stop for fuel to come in and have a cup of coffee or use our free wireless internet. Piedmont also offers consultation for those wishing to make their own biodiesel.
