At 9pm tonight, we celebrate a different North Carolina accomplishment. UNC-TV’s show, Our State, will air a segment entitled “Dirt to Shirt.” It’s all about the rise of Carolina cotton, by a little company in Burlington NC called TS Designs. It chronicles the changes in the apparel industry since NAFTA, and the desire of TS Designs to be different: to be at the forefront of reshoring apparel. It shows how important the local supply chain is to the Cotton of the Carolinas shirt, grown and made right here in the Carolinas. And it chronicles TS Designs customer Mindful Supply as they market and promote made in the USA and the Carolinas.
