We love being a part of such a connected community. Sustainability is a journey best shared with others who are flexible to living, learning and growing.
This morning, we had the pleasure of installing a couple of new lights in the front hallway of the TS Designs building. Our friend, Jamie, from Hunt Electric in Burlington, NC suggested that we test the new Philips InstantFit LED T8 Lamps – and we’re excited about how they’re an additional step in our journey towards sustainability.
There are so many great features that make up the new LED T8 lights. Check out the video.
Here are a few that make us happy:
- Contains no mercury, and virtually no UV or IR light.
- Waste is minimized since these lamps are installed in existing luminaries.
- No wiring is required when replacing T8 fluorescents with the InstantFit lamp, which helps to reduce maintenance and labor costs.
- Low energy consumption allows for short payback and long life, and provides significant energy savings.
