TS Designs Welcomes the Community to Celebrate Local Sustainability at the 4th Annual Piedmont Green Gala
Burlington, North Carolina — September 26, 2014 — TS Designs would like to welcome the community to its 4th annual Piedmont Green Gala on Saturday, October 4th from 2pm to 7pm. This free event highlights local, sustainable initiatives, businesses and organizations, who are working to create a positive impact in the Central North Carolina region.
The event is packed with introductions for community members who are interested in supporting local businesses and learning more about how they can invest their support in all the great endeavors that are happening in the Piedmont.
The Green Gala begins at 2pm. TS Designs will be featuring a major semi-annual t-shirt sale. The public can purchase t-shirts that are “Not Quite Perfect” for $5 each. A majority of these t-shirts are sustainably sourced and many are from the Company’s featured line, Cotton of the Carolinas. It’s the perfect time to stock up on organic cotton shirts.
Sustainable organizations will also be featured at the beginning of the event. Each one will have a table with information and representatives on hand to explain how they are use business as a force for good in the local area.
Tours of the TS Designs campus will be offered starting at 2:30pm and 5:30pm. Tom Sineath, TS Designs CEO, will be leading the tour and highlighting the history of the company as well as all of the sustainable initiatives the company has implemented since the mid 1990’s.
TS Designs is excited to announce that thought leader, entrepreneur, organic farmer and author Bryan Welch will be offering a keynote address to attendees. His presentation, “Beautiful and Abundant: Building the World We Want.” inspires a process of collective visualization and invites the audience to imagine a beautiful, abundant and desirable future for humanity. Bryan preaches a gospel of optimism and positive energy backed by a farmer’s pragmatic knowledge of how things get done.
And finally, the event will ease into a relaxed evening that highlights local food, local beer and local music. Fill your belly with grass-fed beef & pork mixed hotdogs from Braeburn Farms & Cane Creek Farm. Drink your fill from NC local brewery, Lonerider Beer. Enjoy music performed by Burlington-based band, Sweet T and the Biscuits, and powered by the Honey Electric Solar Trailer.
This event is sponsored by TS Designs and is free to all participants! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own camping chairs and water bottles. Everyone is reminded to do their part to make this a zero waste event.
