A lot of talk has been swimming around the internet lately about the new standards set forth in the US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s new children’s product legislation, the CPSIA.

If you’re not familiar with the new legislation, it sets a maximum threshold of lead (100 ppm) and certain phthalates (0.1% of the phthalates DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, and DnOP) in all children’s products, effective February 10th, 2009.

Though TSD only supplies 2 children garments, we are proud to report that we already vastly exceed the CPSIA requirements, as verified by our Oeko-Tex 100 certification.  Our specific product test scores were <0.05 ppm lead (less than 1/2000th of the minimum level set by the CPSIA), and no phthalates of any type detected.

Note that these numbers apply to all TSD-supplied garments, not just our infant shirts!
