Instead of going out on our own this coming month, we’re going to join a community event that will be using its proceeds to raise money for the Silent Warrior Scholarship Fund. This event has been organized by Compass Rose Apparel.
Where: 1734 Hilltop Ave, Saxapahaw, NC (Compass Rose Team Member’s House)
When: Saturday, June 21 at 3pm
Join us at the cookout on June 21st starting at 3pm, and going into the evening. We’ll be cooking burgers from Braeburn Farm’s New Zealand Red Devon cattle, and Left Bank Butchery will be cooking real barbecue on site with pigs from Braeburn Farm’s neighbor, Cane Creek Farms.
Lonerider Brewery has generously donated beer for the event.
Proceeds to benefit the Silent Warrior Scholarship Fund, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
Cost: $30 Adults and $10 Kids
The Silent Warrior Scholarship Fund was set up by Reconnaissance Marines in memory of their fallen brothers.The Silent Warrior Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to any college-bound person based on direct familial relationship to a Reconnaissance Marine or MARSOC Marine, academic achievement, and financial need.
